Most Popular Tea Bags Contain ILLEGAL Amounts Of Deadly Pesticides (avoid these brands at all costs) | Healthy Life Vision

Gudrun Howell · August 30, 2018 ·

These days we are constantly exposed to pesticides and it seems that no matter how hard we try to avoid them, it just doesn’t work. After all, they are present literally everywhere around us: in the food we eat, in the soil, in public places, and many more. Most people think that by washing the produce before eating toxins are removed; but unfortunately they find their way to get into our lives. Not long ago, it has been found that Lipton, Twinings, Tetley, and other popular tea brands contain dangerous pesticides which can cause various health issues.

CBC News reports that tea companies like Uncle Lee`s Legends of China, Red Rose, Twinings, Lipton, King Cole, and Signal are being investigated due to the high levels of pesticides found in their products. The researchers involved in this study found that over half of the samples contained pesticide residues which are above the limit and 8 out of 10 teas contained various chemicals. On the top of that, one brand comprised 22 different types of pesticides, including monocrotophos and endosulfan.  These pesticides are in the process of being banned in many countries as they are known for their detrimental effects.

Best and Worst Brands

Even though most tea brands, except for one brand, contained pesticides, they contain different amount of them. In other words, some pesticide levels are higher than others. Below, you have a list of the tea brands you should avoid:

  1. Uncle Lee’s Legends of China (Green Tea)

This tea brand is the worst on the list as it was found to contain more than 20 pesticides, including endosulfan. Endosulfan is extremely dangerous chemical and its side effects are terrible. Tremors are the most common side-effect but the consequences can be fatal in some cases.

Unlike the aforementioned brand, King Cole is not as loaded with chemicals, but it has been found to contain pesticides which can cause irregular heartbeat an involuntary defecation. Moreover, some people have even fallen in coma after ingesting the pesticides found in this tea.

The teas from this brand were found to contain over 10 different types of pesticides!

As strange as it seems, tea industry doesn’t hide these facts. As a matter of fact, the president of Uncle Lee’s Legends of China admitted that all teas contain pesticides.  “If you drink tea, regular tea, I don’t care what brand is that, the fact of life, this agricultural product does have pesticides,” James O’Young stated.

On the other hand, he didn’t take into consideration the fact that Red Rose, tea brand which is found on the list, doesn’t contain any pesticides. This means that tea without pesticide residue can be cultivated and all you have to do is to avoid heavy-pesticide brands and support the pesticide- free ones.
