Lady Warns About Dangerous ‘Ordinary’ Habit That Caused A Hole In Her Face | Healthy Life Vision

Gudrun Howell · December 29, 2016 ·

It is simply unbelievable how much harm this habit did to this girl.

Yes, we all have some bad habits we would love to break, but it is often difficult for us to do so. Still, a woman from Tennessee wants to warn everyone retelling how this common and ordinary habit of hers left her with a hole in her face.

This woman’s name is Jade Thrasher. She is a nurse, and she is married to the love of her life, Matthew. Still, she was addicted to a habit that almost cost her life. Her father, Charles, was the first to notice a weird sore forming on her nose that turned this young woman’s life upside down.

As the Daily Mail reports, Jade wanted to be tanned and felt pressured to achieve that. After all, she was just one of the many who wanted to be bronzed. In Nashville, the place she live in, being pale was seen as unattractive.

Then, in 2014, Jade started to grow concerned over the clear spot her father had noticed on her nose. Things were getting worse and the sore started bursting and refused to heal. Then she was told that she must get a biopsy done and make sure it wan not skin cancer. Sadly, however, that is exactly what it was.

Jade was then transferred to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville and consulted some experts. On the day of her surgery, the doctors had to cut out a dime-sized hole out of her right nostril in her nose. Here is where her tanning habit brought her. The skin was then replaced with flesh taken off her chest, where a six inch long scar remained.

Jade wants everyone to see the photo of the hole in her nose, especially teenagers, so that they know what the consequences of this habit might be. Jade even had a sun bed in her house, but she has thrown it away. She did not even think of selling it, as she did not want anybody else to go through what she went through. She laments that she has spent years of tanning, but in a way, she feels as this cancer she got at a young age saved her skin before it was too late.
