She Runs This Loaf Of Bread Under Water And The Reason Why Will End Up Saving You Money | Healthy Life Vision

Gudrun Howell · August 16, 2017 ·

It probably has happened to you to buy a baguette for dinner, which is then delicious, but, the next day it has become hard as a rock. Still, you should not throw it out the hunk of stale bread, but instead, use this method of Sara Moulton which shows us what to do with the stale bread and you will save some money.

Sara Moulton is a chef and in the Rachel Ray Show, she reveals to us this method of taking a stale baguette and bringing it back to life using an easy trick.

Soak the piece of bread in water, and give it a generous dousing under the tap.

Just like Rachel, you will also be surprised of how much water is going to be used dousing it. However, the story goes on. Next thing you should do is to wrap the newly baguette tightly in aluminum foil.

When you are done doing this, your baguette is going to become good as new and ready to be consumed once again.

Still, this is not all and the demonstration of the method continues. Next, you should put the bread in the oven which, remember well, should be cold. Then, you should turn it on at 300 degrees and leave the bread inside for about 12-15 minutes.

In Sara’s demonstration, she does not wait the full fifteen minutes to discover if it worked on her demonstration baguette, so she takes out a second roll which has been prepared in the same way before the show even started, so they test it. The bread is so soft, even softer than it was when the baguette even began.

Still, it being so soft now starts representing an issue, since it is no longer a baguette. However, you can fix this by putting it in the oven once again for five more minutes uncovered and it will regain its texture. So, there you have it now, your stale bread completely revived.
