Heinz Ketchup Banned (And Why You Should Avoid It) | Healthy Life Vision

Gudrun Howell · October 2, 2017 ·

After reading this article, you will definitely stop using Heinz Ketchup for good. In fact, given the fact that it is low in tomato content and it can be hardly categorized as ketchup, Heinz Ketchup has been banned in Israel.

Below you have a list of 3 reasons why you should stop using Heinz Ketchup:

  1. It Contains High Fructose Corn Syrup

Heinz ketchup is high in fructose corn syrup, which is made from genetically modified corn and it is toxic. This ingredient causes extremely high blood sugar levels when ingested, which is highly detrimental to the liver.

However, if you are not convinced yet, keep reading! It has been scientifically shown that high fructose syrup actually contains high levels of mercury. This heavy metal is highly toxic and you should stop consuming foods which contain it as soon as possible.

  1. It Has no Nutritional Value

Heinz Ketchup has no nutritional value! It doesn’t contain fiber, proteins, or other nutrients. It contains low quantity of tomato paste, which involves very small amount of lycopene. Lastly, it is made of GMO`s, sugar, and many chemicals, all of which are highly dangerous.  Avoid this type of ketchup and opt for natural alternatives.

  1. It Contains Distilled Vinegar and Sugar

Last but not least, Heinz ketchup is high in distilled vinegar and sugar as well. In fact, a serving of this ketchup contains 4 grams of sugar, meaning that only a tablespoon of it will yield high amount of unhealthy sugar.

Excessive sugar intake combined with lack of other nutrients can lead to spikes in blood sugar, which is associated with liver and pancreas damage.

In addition to this, not only is sugar GMO, but the distilled vinegar which is found in large amounts also comes from genetically modified corn which is treated with pesticides and other chemicals.
