The Strongest Natural Painkiller That Grows Everywhere, Including Your Backyard | Healthy Life Vision

Gudrun Howell · July 20, 2018 ·

In the past when modern medicine wasn’t available, people relied completely on herbal remedies for their health problems. However, the advance of modern medicine has made us forget how powerful natural medicine is. There are many plants and herbs which can treat a variety of health problems – for example, wild lettuce (Lactusavirosa) is a plant that can be used as an effective painkiller that works better than any kind of pill.

Wild lettuce is a powerful natural sedative and painkiller that has been used against restlessness, cough, insomnia, spasms and cramps and indigestion in the past. The plant has also been used against menstrual cramps, muscle pain and other types of pain, which is why it was known as opium lettuce. The plant is also a powerful antiseptic.

How to use wild lettuce?

Wild lettuce is mostly consumed as a tea which is prepared from the leaves of the plant. They are plucked in July or August, and should be dried in order to get the most out of them. You can find wild lettuce supplements in most pharmacies, but it’s best to use the plant plucked from the ground.

Wild lettuce is a biennial plant with a yellow flower that can grow up to 7 feet. Science has still been unable to find the perfect dosage safe for use, but in general, 2-4 ml. of wild lettuce tincture taken 3 times a day or 3 cups of tea a day is considered safe. However, you should be careful if you’re applying wild lettuce tincture on your skin as it may cause irritation. Do a test on a smaller patch of skin and see if there’s any reaction before using the remedy. Additionally, doctors don’t recommend using the plant if you’re pregnant, allergic to plants, have an enlarged prostate or you’re having surgery soon or if you’re suffering from glaucoma.

Natural remedies vs. painkillers

Many people pop painkillers without giving them a second thought, but these pills may have numerous adverse side-effects on your health. This is why it’s best to treat your pains and aches with the help of natural remedies. The body can heal itself, but herbs and plants will give it additional support and resolve numerous underlying problems. Wild lettuce is one of the best natural painkillers that has been used to treat different kinds of pain throughout history.

Kills more than just the pain!

Wild lettuce is a natural “opioid” that can change the way the brain reacts to pain. Taking painkillers frequently can make us used to them and increase the risk of overdose which can cause quite a lot of damage to the body. Addiction is a major problem as too many people become reliant on painkillers and go through a difficult withdrawal process if they stop taking them. This dependency makes painkillers such as Ibuprofen a vice even after the pain goes away.

Opioids have also been related to memory loss due to the damage they cause to the brain, and some studies have linked them to increased risk of ulcers, adding to more reasons to the list why you should switch to natural remedies.

Consuming wild lettuce tea against your pains and aches has no side-effects at all and won’t complicate matters such as painkillers. The plant is easy to find (it probably grows on its own in your backyard) and easy to use as well, so there’s no reason to continue avoiding it.
