Réjeanne menstrual panties to liberate women

Gudrun Howell · October 23, 2022 ·

Réjeane is the kind of brand that works for the health and well-being of women. With its pretty menstrual panties, the Réjeanne brand offers all menstruating people an ecological and healthy alternative.

Revolution! No more disposable pads and their mountains of waste, no more contact of our intimacy with pesticides and other endocrine disruptors, no more perpetual fear of leakage, smells and the feeling of humidity. Long live the period panties.

Back on the values carried by the brand and on its beautiful menstrual lingerie.

An ecological and healthy alternative to disposable protections

The world of rules remains governed by omerta and taboos. Women find themselves forced to hide their tampon or sanitary napkin at the bottom of their pocket so as not to shy away from the idea of menstrual blood. And when you wear a dress and you have no pockets, how do you do it?

Practical issues still pass but what about period poverty and its dramatic consequences on women’s health and esteem? What about the image of their femininity that young girls build when they are taught to keep their periods quiet? What about the composition of disposable periodical protection, also ignored?

The genesis of Réjeanne

Réjeanne has tackled the problem of periodical protection to create her pretty menstrual panties, panties imagined and designed by women for women.

Réjeanne’s story begins when one of its founders finds herself confronted with the torrential postpartum blood loss and disposable panties, an almost elegant name for what is still very similar to diapers. Besides, they look like diapers, they work like diapers and are as uncomfortable as diapers.

At the turn of a conversation with a friend, also a lawyer, the idea of founding a menstrual panty brand that meets all the expectations of menstruating people, menopausal or young mothers was born.

Chemical-free periodic protection

Determined not to reproduce period panties with a sports shorty design and composition using silver nanoparticles, they are embarking on a particularly advanced R&D phase that will lead to a patented 12-hour anti-leakage technology.

Very thin and soft, it is an unparalleled comfort during menstruation that Réjeanne panties promise despite an absorption similar to 3 or 4 tampons depending on the model. Efficiency here is uncompromising. Indeed, the period panties are entirely handmade, in France in lingerie workshops valuing French know-how with Oekotex 100 fabrics. They are therefore guaranteed without silver nano-particles. Their lining is made of organic cotton knitted in France, a healthy, odorless and breathable fabric.

Beyond their responsible design, Réjeanne period panties reduce the considerable number of sanitary protections thrown away:

  • Each menstruating person uses an average of 11,000 pieces of protection during their lifetime.
  • 45 billion sanitary pads are thrown away every year,
  • That’s 1,447 every second.

It is also as many pesticides, carcinogenic products (chlorine, glyphosate, etc.), phthalates, and other dioxins that do not end up in nature.

Menstrual panties against the taboo of menstruation

Réjeanne, committed to women

Réjeanne has not only offered an ecological and healthy alternative to disposable sanitary protection, the brand also works to restore the dignity and pride of menstruating people.

This goes through words, words written in the Journal Réjeanne which always cracks a little more the taboo built around the rules but also by actions such as the collaboration with the five-time world champion of judo, Clarisse Agbegnenou for a collection carrying a strong message addressed to the world of sport.

A bodypositive lingerie brand

They highlight femininity thanks to cuts adapted to each morphology, from the thong, to the shorty, through the high-waisted panties and the bloomer, very trendy at the moment. They also rely on delicate materials such as French lace, plumetis or lurex.

The models are not retouched, it is the natural beauty of women that is celebrated far from the shackles still conveyed by the fashion industry. Stretch marks, shapes, hair and cellulite are sublimated, molded into elegant panties for menstruation.
