Healthy Rice Diet-Lose 20 Pounds in 3 Weeks | Healthy Life Vision

Gudrun Howell · May 8, 2017 ·

This healthy, low calorie rice diet will last for three weeks, during which you can lose up to 20 pounds.

The rice diet first appeared in early 1937, and was designed by the German physiatrist Walter Kepner who was studying patients with high blood pressure and diabetes. He found that patients with diabetes and hypertension who ate rice every day had fewer health problems.

The rice diet is consisted of dishes of rice, fruits, vegetables, very healthy drinks and meat in very small quantities. Today the rice diet has much wider application and is used not only by overweight people, but also by people with health problems. The diet lasts for three weeks during which you can lose up to 20 pounds.

The rice diet is a low calorie diet with very little salt. Besides rice it includes other healthy foods with few calories. You can eat plenty of white and brown rice, in all three meals. Combined with physical activities and exercises, you will see results in a very short period of time.

The diet is consisted from three stages. In the first phase, which lasts seven days, you should follow the basic diet with rice so the first day you enter about 800 calories and 50 milligrams of salt. For every meal you eat two fruits, and the same amount of starch.

The remaining 6 days should be followed by the milk – vegetarian diet with rice. You can add dairy products in the diet, making a total of about 1000 calories and 300 milligrams of salt. This diet requires starch and fruit for breakfast and three kinds of vegetables, starch and one type of fruit for lunch and dinner. In this first stage you can lose up to 14 pounds.

The second phase also lasts seven days, with one day to comply with the basic rice diet without dairy products while in the next 5 days you will add nutritional dairy products (milk-vegetarian diet with rice). The last day of the second phase starts with the meat diet with rice. Breakfast should be consisted of two types of starch and fruit, and for lunch and dinner you should eat three kinds of vegetables and starch, and fruit. Daily you will enter more than 1,000 calories and 500 milligrams of salt. In the third stage an additional 200 calories are added and at this stage the weight loss slowly stops. You can add meat in one meal.
