COMMON BATHROOM MISTAKES YOU ARE MAKING THAT ARE MAKING YOU SICK! | Healthy Life Vision

Gudrun Howell · August 14, 2018 ·

Everybody spends some time in the bathroom every day. But did you know that there are some habits we do every day that make us sick? It seems like you will have to change some habits while going in the bathroom.

Leaving your makeup and brushes out on the counter

Any tools you are using on your face shouldn’t be left on the open where the germs can attack them. The moist in your bathroom is a perfect environment for bacteria growth. Instead, you should keep your makeup and brushes on the drawers or containers which will keep them safe from germs.

Shutting the lid when you flush

You should know that when you flush your toilet with open lid the dirty water is sprayed across the floor around the toilet. Close the lid every time you flush the toilet and keep the floor clean where you step on barefoot.

Using the air dryer

The air dryer releases 27 times as many microbes as paper towels and almost 5 times more than warm-air blowers. You don’t want all that airborne bacteria in your bathroom. You can choose the paper towel instead.

Letting your towels dry on hooks

By placing the towel on the hooks you will allow the moisture to accumulate and stay in the towel. This is perfect breeding ground for bacteria to grow. Instead, you could hang the towel over a chair or some similar surface in order to be dried without moisture build-up.

Shower curtain. Shower curtain. Shower curtain

When you are done with your shower, you should open the curtain which will allow it to dry well without moisture build up which can contribute to bacteria growth.

Using your phone in the bathroom!

Almost everyone uses the phone while spending time in the bathroom. But this is dangerous habit. Many germs and bacteria can stuck on your phone before you wash your hands. Eventually, those bacteria will end up on your face. Don’t take your phone in the bathroom in order to avoid irritation and germs on your face.
