THE BOILED EGGS DIET: Lose 25 pounds (11 kg) In Just 2 Weeks!

Gudrun Howell · September 19, 2016 ·

Why Does The Boiled Egg Diet Work?

The Boiled Egg diet (also known as Hard Boiled Egg diet) is an excellent low calorie meal plan that will accelerate your metabolism and help burn fat while curbing your daily cravings. It basically includes eating only a couple of eggs and fresh fruit and veggies to balance your menu. The diet is designed to make you eat some 700-800 calories per day, which puts you slightly above starvation without risking negative consequences.

In fact, the number of calories is so low, the Boiled Egg diet is only possible because you consume a lot of protein and a decent amount of healthy fats. And with lots of fruit and vegetables, you are getting natural fructose and satisfied your vitamin and mineral requirements.

However, the secret of the Boiled Egg diet is the lack of carbohydrates on the menu. When you are low on carbs you are asking your body to burn its own fat supply in order to produce energy.

NOTE: You want to make the diet more effective? Add light cardio exercise during the 2 weeks of the diet to further help your body burn fats. Jogging, swimming, cycling, anything really, just go out of the house and get sweaty.

The Boiled Egg diet owes its success to another very important reason – it’s very beginner friendly. First, it lasts for only 2 weeks and results start to show in less than a week, a very important motivational factor. Second, while it eliminates sugar rich foods, processed carbs and unhealthy fats, you are still left with tasty and rich meals that include chicken, fish and turkey, tasty veggies and fruits, and of course plenty of eggs. You’ll still have tasty and flavorful meals.

For people who are struggling to stay dedicated, the Boiled Egg diet can be just the thing that let’s them follow through and succeed with their weight loss goals.

The Boiled Eggs Diet

For the Boiled Egg diet to work fully, it’s vital to drink a lot of water during the 2-weeks of the diet and get a good night’s sleep. Water keeps our bodies hydrated and nourishes the cells so they can eliminate toxins and flush them out of the body. The recommended amount of water is 6-8 glasses per day, so you should stick to it! Drinking plenty of water also prevents cravings and helps you lose additional weight. Try to get 8 (or at least 7) hours of uninterrupted sleep.

The rules for the Boiled Eggs diet are simple but firm – (1) avoid fast food and (2) limit the daily consumption of sugar and salt, including sodas and alcohol. The diet can help you lose up to 25 pounds (11 kg) in just a couple of weeks if you follow it judiciously.

This diet is a great tool for quick shredding of fats and losing weight. It has proven its value to me numerous times: prior my wedding, prior a big public event where I had to present, or prior any bikini season.

However, that is what this diet is: a tool. Unless you change your lifestyle you won’t maintain your optimal weight or shape.

Furthermore, it’s not recommended to go for more that 4 weeks of this diet. Two to three weeks are ideal, after which you should return to a richer diet which doesn’t limit you. You can use this diet 3-5 times per year, lasting 2-4 weeks each time, to achieve quick weight loss results. Use common sense and don’t abuse it. It’s a great diet if you are responsible.

After a few diet periods, you’ll gain some experience in what works for you and you’ll be able to modify the diet yourself to better fit you, or to achieve better results. Just stick to the 2 rules above and keep the calorie intake in the 700-900 area.
