3 Home Methods To Get Rid Of Rats Once And For All

Gudrun Howell · February 24, 2017 ·

There’s nothing more gross than a mice infestation in your home. Rats and mice can live in awful conditions and are highly destructive and dangerous. They leave feces everywhere behind them which are toxic to humans and carry fatal diseases. It’s even worse if you have pets or children in your home.

Vermin such as rats reproduce at a lightning speed rate – a female rat can have 15 litters of 22 pups annually, so if not eliminated on time, you will have hundreds in your home before you know it. People usually call rat exterminators to eliminate the pests, but this is a time-consuming, expensive and dangerous process which isn’t always effective. Luckily, there are some natural methods that can.

Say goodbye to rats naturally!

The chemicals used to exterminate rats are dangerous, which is why you need to move out for a couple of days when the extermination process starts. However, chemical residues may stay in your home for a long time afterwards and can endanger your health. This is why you need to use the following natural remedies to exterminate rats in your home:

Soda

Mice and rats can’t burp, so put a couple of bowls of fizzy drinks in strategic spots. They will come out of hiding and drink the soda, which will eventually be fatal for them.

Plaster

Make a mixture of flour, salt and plaster and put it in the areas frequented by the rodents. Mice and rats will eat anything including this mixture. As it’s salty, they will be very thirsty after eating it, but once they drink some water the plaster in their body will solidify, effectively killing them.

Chocolate and plaster

This method works exactly the same as the previous one, but it’s based on chocolate which rats surely wouldn’t resist.

Try any of these remedies and you will quickly get rid of the mice and rats in your home.
