How to Make Ginger Water to Treat Migraines, Heart Burn, Joint and Muscle Pain | Healthy Life Vision

The culinary and medicinal properties of ginger are known for a very long time and this amazing ingredient is even mentioned in ancient Indian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern writing.

Ginger is abundant in manganese and potassium, both of which are vital for proper heart functioning. For instance, manganese protects the lining of both heart and circulatory system and it also builds resistance to diseases. It also contains silicon, which keeps the skin, hair, teeth, and nails health.

Besides these nutrients, ginger also contains vitamins A, B complex, C and E as well as beta-carotene, calcium, zinc, sodium, iron, magnesium, and phosphorus.

Gginger`s anti-inflammatory compounds called gingerols have been found to help treat joint, nerve and muscle pain as well as to prevent migraine headaches if taken on a regular basis.

According to a study published in the Journal of Natural Products, ginger extract and gingerol derivatives prevent joint inflammation. Moreover, a study published in Phytotherapy Research found that ginger could neuropathic pain in rats.

How to Make Ginger Water to Treat Migraines, Heart Burn, Joint and Muscle Pain

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups water
  • Fresh ginger root ( 1-2 cm)
  • ½ lemon
  • Raw honey

Instructions:

  • First, grate the ginger with a zester
  • Mix the grated ginger with water and the juice of ½ a lemon
  • Add the honey
  • Strain the liquid and drink during the entire day
