Here’s What Happens When You Sleep Six Instead Of Eight Hours | Healthy Life Vision

Gudrun Howell · December 3, 2017 ·

Experts repeatedly warn us that sleeping eight hours is very important because of our good health, but we often sleep less than that.

Most often we think that lack of sleep will not have a negative effect on our health.

Your face will always give away the lack of sleep, no matter how hard you are trying to hide it.

Almost a third of Britons sleep 5 to 6 hours at night, writes Daily Mail.

– If there is a small defect in the engine of your car, the longer you drive with it, the greater the defect becomes and will probably cause other defects. The same happens with our body if we practice the same, negative, routine claims Irshad Ebrahim of the London Centre for sleep.

Sarah Kalmers (46), as a mother of three, felt on her skin what the lack of sleep really means and what can it do to our body. With three children, this woman, as she says herself, “survived” with minimal sleep. Even now, when two of the children are nine and seven years, she is able to afford eight hours of sleep a night.

She participated in a study that implemented the London School of sleep, the results showed that almost a third of Britons sleep only 6 hours or even less.

This study shows a strong link between the lack of sleep and reduced mental and physical abilities.

These results confirmed previous studies that have shown that lack of sleep reduces the ability to solve problems by 60 percent, and decreases the possibility of remembering by 40 percent. Scientists in Norway have found a strong link between lack of sleep and low tolerance to pain.

However, this is not the only health problem, which the lack of sleep has a negative impact on.

The term “beauty sleep” did not occur without a reason. After all, there is a long-term relationship between sleep and youthful appearance and sleep is one of the main and the best fighters in the fight against premature aging. When you do not sleep enough, your body raises the levels of cortisol which breaks the collagen that makes our skin to be smooth and elastic.

Sarah Kalmers remained shocked by her appearance in the survey in which she realized that the lack of sleep made her wrinkles even deeper in a short period of time, and the redness on her skin increased by 50 percent.

Experts warned her that if she continues to sleep only 6 hours at night, can easily rupture the capillaries and further deteriorate her appearance, stating that if she sleeps less this night, won’t make it up with tomorrow’s longer sleep.
