You can purchase tahini in health food stores.

If you intend to make your own tahini psate you will need raw hulled seeds and oil by your choice. Normally 2 teaspoons of oil are mixed with one or a half cup of seeds, in dependence on how dense paste you will like. Most recommended oils for this recipe are sesame, sunflower and olive oil. Put the seeds in a pan and apply them on a low heat and fry them a little bit. Make sure you don’t burn them because the seeds will have bitter taste. Wait a little bit for the seeds to cool down and then put them in a blender. Add olive oil and blend them until you get the desired paste.

Procedure:

Mix the honey and tahini paste in a large bowl. Add the accumulated oil on the top of the container together with the tahini paste in the mixture. They are both in liquid form and by whisking them well enough they will imbibe in the composition that can be formed like dough.

While whisking you can you can add a little bit of crumpled walnuts, almonds, pistachios or hazelnuts if you like. Some people are making a mistake by baking them because the pastels will lose many of their beneficial properties and their taste as well.

You should only form balls or some shape by your choice and coat them in whole sesame seeds.

Place them on a tray and keep them in the refrigerator. You should keep them in the fridge even if you are using them as a remedy. Eat 2-3 balls daily.
