The body is put to the test and, most of the time, the pounds come back in force! What could be more frustrating than making efforts in vain? Certainly, some restrictive diets will make you melt like snow in the sun. In front of the mirror, in front of your new silhouette you jubilant. But, for how long? You should know that a vertiginous weight loss is often only the promise of disillusionment. This is only fleeting, because to maintain this weight in the long term, it requires even more work and restrictions. Excess weight is never trivial: it is the direct consequence of a passive lifestyle and poor eating habits. By reconnecting with a healthy, varied and balanced diet, you will quickly feel a clear difference. It is therefore essential to carefully analyze your diet to find the flaws and point the finger at the bad foods you eat. Especially those that represent a high caloric density such as carbohydrates. Once they are well identified, it will then be a question of bartering them for healthier foods.

For example, if you often eat so-called “processed” meat (sausages, salami, ham, etc.), make it a habit to buy chicken instead. It’s easy to cook and there are more health benefits. Do you love sweets? Needless to say, these are high-calorie foods. If you want to lose weight, without banishing sugar, then you should bet on fruit. They are vitaminized, tasty and will help you slim down much faster.

This is obvious, but the idea would be to limit industrial products on the plate. They are packed with added sugars, salt, and saturated fats. Resulting from the industrial process, some foods classified as “ultra-processed” contain a cocktail of substances (emulsifiers, dyes, sweeteners, additives …) that increase the risk of overweight, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. It is therefore better to focus on raw, organic, complete and seasonal products. They are much richer in vitamins and minerals!

Size tip: cook a little more often! By concocting good dishes at home, it will prevent you from consuming too many frozen or already prepared dishes. Do not skimp on vegetables, fish, brown rice, salads and fruits. And put a little stop on cookies, pastries and dairy desserts.

We can never tell you enough: organization is the key to a balanced diet.  By not integrating junk food at home, you do not risk eating it. Try to establish a seven-day meal plan beforehand, taking into account the calories and nutritional content of the foods you choose. For this, you just have to make a shopping list and follow it scrupulously. As a bonus, it’s economical and avoids waste!

When we talk about a balanced diet, we also talk about reducing quantities. In truth, it is a matter of logic and common sense: less quantity means fewer calories. So be sure to reduce your portions. While you’re at it, use small plates to avoid excess food. Remember: eating only to satisfy your hunger is the best diet. Eating to satisfy your gluttony makes you swell visibly!
