20 Deadly Cancer Symptoms Most Women Ignore

If you like to be safe from cancer, you shouldn’t lean on routine tests only. You must learn to listen to your body and feel if something is different, strange or unexpected. Here are some cancer symptoms that are usually ignored:

  1. Wheezing or shortness of breath

Many patients who suffer from lung cancer reported that the first symptom was the inability to catch breath.

  1. Chronic cough or chest pain

Few types of cancer, including lung tumors and leukemia can be manifested by symptoms like bronchitis and severe cough. There are reports of chest pain that expands into the shoulders or down the arm.

  1. Frequent fevers or infections

These are the symptoms of leukemia which is a blood cells cancer that appears in the bone marrow. In this condition the bone marrow creates anomalous white blood cells, making your body unable to fight infections.

  1. Difficulty swallowing

This symptom is usually related with throat cancer and it could be one of the first symptoms of lung cancer.

  1. Swollen lymph nodes or lumps on the neck, underarm or groin

Increased lymph nodes can point to changes in lymphatic system, which can be a symptom of cancer.

  1. Excessive bruising or bleeding that doesn’t stop

This could be a sign of serious problem with the platelets and red blood cells and can be a symptom of leukemia. As the time passes by the leukemia cells suppress the red blood cells and platelets, disrupting the body’s ability to transport oxygen and clot.

  1. Weakness and fatigue

Generally, fatigue and weakness can be manifested as symptoms of many types of cancer. You will need to examine them in a combination with other symptoms. Every time you feel tired unexpectedly and it doesn’t go away after a good sleep, you should visit your doctor.

  1. Bloating or abdominal weight gain

Women who suffer from ovarian cancer experience sudden abdominal bloating that appears unexpectedly on and off over a long period of time.

  1. Feeling full and unable to eat

This is a sign of ovarian cancer. The patient lose their appetite and don’t want to eat, even when they skipped a meal or two.

  1. Pelvic or abdominal pain

These symptoms can be manifested together with bloating which can be a sign of ovarian cancer. The abdominal pain can be result from leukemia which can be caused from amplified spleen.

  1. Rectal bleeding or blood in stool

It can be caused by colorectal cancer. If you ever notice blood in your toilet you should visit your doctor as soon as possible and schedule a colonoscopy.

  1. Unexplained weight loss

Sudden weight loss is one of the first symptoms of colon or any other digestive cancer. It can point out to a cancer that has expanded on the liver, leaving negative effect on your ability to eject toxins and wastes and your appetite.

  1. Disturbed stomach or stomach pain

This can be a sign of colorectal cancer.

  1. A red, sore or swollen breast

These symptoms can point out to inflammatory breast cancer. Visit your doctor if you notice any sudden changes to your breasts.

  1. Nipple changes

This symptom is one of the most noticeable thing by the women before being diagnosed with breast cancer. The nipple will become inverted, turned sideways or flattened.

  1. Unusually heavy or painful periods or bleeding between periods

This symptom is a warning of uterine cancer. You should do a transvaginal ultrasound.

  1. Swelling of facial features

Many patients who suffer from lung cancer experienced puffiness, redness or swelling on their face. The lung tumors obstruct the blood vessels in the chest, disallowing the blood to get to the head and the face.

  1. A sore or skin lump that doesn’t heal, becomes crusty or bleeds easily

  1. Changes in nails

Sudden changes in the fingernails could point out to few types of cancer. Black or brown lines or points under the nail can be a symptom of skin cancer, while newly revealed “clubbing”-amplifying of the ends of the fingers with nails that bend down over the tips- could be a symptom of lung cancer. Liver cancer can be manifested by pale or white nails.

  1. Pain in the back or lower right side

According to most of the cancer patients, this is the first symptom of liver cancer. Back pain can be also caused by breast cancer, which appears when the breast tumor makes pressure backwards into the chest, or when the cancer expands to the spine or the ribs.
