For some brands the color is equally important as their logo. But do you know why some brands have chosen precisely the color that is known?

Why newspapers and website of “Financial Times” are pink?

The heads of the newspaper “Financial Times” in 1893 decided to change the color of their edition to distinguish from their London rival “Financial News”.

Why “Google” in the colors of the rainbow?

The colors of the “Google” suggest playfulness, especially the sequence of colors.

“We have decided on the basic colors, but did not want to put them in a classic sequence and colored ‘L’ with a secondary color, which is in line with our idea that Google does not stick to the rules,” said Ruth Cedar graphic designer who made the logo.

Why logo “BMW” is a blue-white?

According to popular rumor, the logo should represent the propeller blades that cut the blue sky, but it’s wrong. The squares represent the colors of the Free State of Bavaria.

Why Logo “Facebook” is blue?

“Blue is for me the most interesting and playful color,” Mark Zuckerberg replied when he was asked this question.

Why “Tiffany” made their protective blue?

The color is known as the “Tiffany blue” and was chosen by the company’s founder Charles Lewis Tiffany for the color on the cover of his book “Blue Book”, which contained the annual collection of jewelry which was published in 1845.

The company said that the color was probably selected because of the popularity of turquoise jewel in the 19th century or because it was a favorite among Victorian brides.

Why is “Yahoo” violet?

According to the company “Fast”, co-founder of “Yahoo”, David Filo in 1995 went to the store to buy paint for the walls of the company, then the story is divided into two sides – one that says he saw the purple color of the discount and the other that the color was gray, but under strong fluorescent lights looked like purple.

Why “Coca-Cola” is red?

In mid-90s of the 18th century the company began to paint the barrels with red color for the transportation tax officials can easily distinguish them from alcoholic beverages. The company even in its first magazine, which was published in 1924 called it “The Red Barrel”.
